"My architecture is easy to understand and enjoy, I hope it also is hard to forget."
A grand entrance of a hotel will only amaze us several times, after that, the grand space looses its flair. Nowadays, architecture is focusing too much on the form/shape and emphasizes too much on the buildings “look”. We lost the story of the building itself, because the story is almost the same everywhere you go. The brick wall becomes soulless, the ironmongery is another “made in china” product, and we lost the story of materials. It feels dull and awkward, like living in someone else’s house. Architecture has lost its connection with the place and nature, and obviously it lost its connection with you.
